Oil&Gas and Transport&Logistics are two major divisions within our client’s Group – one of the world’s leading organisers of trade exhibitions and conferences. These divisions are looking to recruit a digital focussed international marketing executive to work in a friendly environment that is forward-thinking, results-driven and passionate about customer service. The successful candidate will be leading the delivery of digital (and traditional) marketing campaigns and the role requires a blend of analysis, creativity and attention to detail.

JOB PURPOSE

The International Marketing Executive is a hands-on role with responsibility for marketing the two portfolio’s products to a global audience of prospective exhibitors and visitors. With a strong digital focus, the job will require the delivery of marketing content through websites, mobile, email, search engines and social media to a specified target market.

The role is designed to stimulate interest, awareness, sales leads and visitor registrations. Monitoring the effectiveness of campaigns and tracking conversions is another key requirement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Campaign Management:

  • Devise strategies to drive traffic to websites using the most appropriate digital channels
  • Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns based on the agreed strategies
  • Use a range of digital techniques and channels to deliver marketing messages to core audiences including display, social media, paid-for search, SEO and email
  • Support the delivery of these campaigns through campaign planning & briefing, copywriting & editing of assets, and ensuring appropriate campaign tracking is in place
  • Monitor and report all campaign results to the appropriate stakeholders. Work with these stakeholders to develop and optimise future campaigns based on the best performing strategies

Content Management

  • Generate, edit and manage content on all event digital platforms (web, mobile, social) using appropriate content management tools
  • Track web traffic, user behaviour and conversion rates and work with the digital design team to ensure our digital platforms are continually optimised.
  • Monitor, post and develop the content of our social media accounts; proposing innovative social media campaigns to engage, retain and grow our communities, as well as identifying additional channel opportunities.

PR:

  • Prepare and distribute newsworthy information to media partners, internal press lists and external media lists.

Research:

  • Gather exhibitor feedback at selected events and assist with gathering industry information to help identify key markets for growth.

 Lead Generation:

  • Supply sales teams with leads generated through marketing activities. Track lead quality and measure sales conversion.

Sales Support:

  • Prepare presentation templates and sales materials when required

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Experience & Knowledge – Essential

  • University degree or equivalent
  • Understanding and interest in current online marketing concepts/strategies/best practice
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms
  • Practical experience of PPC management
  • Reporting
